How Rehearsal Studio Rentals Work

If you've never booked a rehearsal studio before, this is for you! We'll talk about what's included, how you get in, what it costs, and what to expect when you show up.

How do I book a session?

Book online or through the Jammed app. The whole process takes a few minutes — pick your date, select your time block, choose your studio, pay at checkout, and you're confirmed. No phone calls, no back-and-forth.

You'll receive a unique door code tied to your booking. That code is how you access the building and your room. Show up, punch in the code, and you're in.

How much does it cost?

Hourly rates range from $15 to $30 per hour depending on the studio and time of day. Peak hours — evenings and weekends — are priced at the higher end.

Off-peak hours, Monday through Friday before 5pm, are discounted.

If your band has scheduling flexibility, booking during off-peak hours is the easiest way to reduce your rehearsal costs without changing anything else about your session.

Are there discounts for regular bookings?

Yes, two ways:

Recurring bookings. If you lock in a regular weekly or bi-weekly slot, you get a discounted rate. This is the best option for bands that rehearse consistently and want to stop thinking about scheduling every week.

Bulk hour bookings. Booking several hours at a time in a single reservation also qualifies for a discount. If your band regularly runs three-hour sessions, booking

them as a block is cheaper than booking hour by hour.

When is payment due?

Payment is collected though the app at the time of booking. Your session is not confirmed until payment is complete. This is standard across rehearsal studios — it's how we hold the room for you and manage the schedule.

For cancellations: cancel 24 hours or more in advance for a full refund. Cancel within 24 hours and you'll receive a credit toward a future session. No-shows are not refunded or credited. All cancellations are handled directly through the Jammed app.

What's the minimum booking?

One hour. There's no maximum — book as many hours as you need in a single reservation.

What's included in the rental?

Everything you need to rehearse with a full band:

• Drum kit with cymbals

• PA system

• Guitar and bass amps

• Microphones and cables

Bring your drum sticks and guitars—that's it!

What do I need to bring?

At minimum: your instruments. Everything else is provided.

Beyond that, what you bring depends on your preferences. Guitarists and bassists often prefer their own pedals and cables. Drummers who have a preferred snare or cymbal setup should bring those. Vocalists may want their own mic if they're particular about it.

Check in with your bandmates before the session so nobody assumes someone else is handling something. The most common pre-rehearsal problem is duplicate gear or missing cables — a quick group text before you load out prevents both.

Can I book as a solo musician or does it need to be a full band?

We're built for bands and groups, but solo musicians are absolutely welcome — and honestly, some of our favorite customers. A solo drummer who needs a proper room to practice, a guitarist working through new material, a singer-songwriter demoing ideas, a duo writing together — all legitimate uses of the space. No minimum headcount, no judgment.

Can I extend my session if I need more time?

If the room is available after your session ends, yes — you can extend on the fly.

Check availability through the booking platform and add time as needed. If the room is booked immediately after you, extending isn't possible, so plan your session length upfront if you know you'll need more time.

How far in advance can I book?

Up to three months in advance. If you have a regular rehearsal night, locking in your slots early is the best way to make sure your preferred time doesn't disappear.

Do I need an account to book?

No. You can book without creating an account. Just pick your time, pay, and you'll receive your confirmation and door code.

What if it's my first time — what should I expect?

Show up a few minutes before your session starts. Your door code is active at your booking start time. Use the first few minutes to get oriented — find the gear, check the setup, make sure everything is working before you start the clock on your actual rehearsal.

If anything in the room looks damaged or isn't working when you arrive, contact us immediately before your session begins. Flagging issues upfront protects you from being responsible for something that was already broken.
